Manage Christmas Chaos: How to Get Organized for the Holidays

The holidays can be hectic, and it is easy to feel overwhelmed in the chaos of it all. Fortunately, with a little bit of preparation and organization, you can navigate through the holiday season with ease. Christmas will be here before you know it! Here are my top tips to help you stay organized this holiday season.

Create a gift wrapping station

Pick a spot in your home that serves as a designated gift wrapping station. Keep your supplies in a container, or even a caddy, so you don't have to waste time tracking down your tape or scissors. Use bins to separate supplies by category (bows, ribbon, name tags) to keep your area nice and tidy. This will keep everything in its place, and you will know where to grab what you're looking for.

Declutter

Before the holiday season begins, set aside some time to take a look around your home and determine what items you no longer need. This will create more space for new items you receive at Christmas and prepare your home for the upcoming season. Out with the old, in with the new!

Use apps for lists

Paper lists can be difficult to keep up with. Use your phone to create lists for Christimas gifts and meal planning. This will allow you to keep track of what you've bought, and help you determine what Christmas shopping you still have left to do.

Have a designated space for receipts

Like many of you, I often misplace receipts and struggle to keep up with them. To avoid this, use a pouch or some sort of storage to conveinently store your receipts.
